The trickiest part of this step was how small everything was. When the decals are only a few millimeters wide, sliding them off means they ride on the water’s surface tension and are easily perturbed once placed. The decal for the console display in the middle was exactly the size of the piece, so getting it aligned took some trial and error. The metal transfer in the middle of the steering wheel took about 5-6 times to get it centered.
Lesson learned: This step involved such small parts that my phone camera didn’t accurately capture the level of detail. I’m not about to go out and buy a $1K+ camera unless someone wants to sponsor me. 🙂
This step took about two hours.
